Judy Garland, a rising star in 1930's Hollywood, is given the opportunity to star as Dorothy Gale in the MGM-produced adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz". Directed by Victor Fleming, the film would be another milestone for the promising young actress. However, as the ambitious production progresses, Judy eventually becomes both a witness and victim to some of its worst conditions. In addition, despite trying to be the heart of the production, her new diet forced by producers takes a big toll on her, evidently becomes the catalyst for her tragic descent and changes her career forever. Rated R for language throughout, drug use, peril, mature thematic elements, disturbing images and sexual situations
