This will be a direct adaptation of the novella of the same name by Clive Barker. It will include some of the same themes, darker tone from the book, the same character arcs and motivations. Clive Barker will return as writer, wanting it to be a different version from his previous movie, while hiring Leigh Janiak who previously directed the Fear Street trilogy.
