Sam Sweetly is Charlotte's husband. It's shown their relationship is not healthy and may even be abusive. He makes an attempt to stay as far away from his wife at all times and is shown to be having an affair with one of the barista's at Beanie's, Zoey Chambers. He also makes Charlotte take the blame for many of the arguments they have. Charlotte attempts to fix their relationship by making the two go to couple's therapy and tried to enforce cuddle nights but he often makes excuses. He works as a cop at the HFPD with Doug and another unnamed cop as well.
