1 year after joining the Justice League and defeating Steppenwolf, Barry Allen returned to his ordinary life as a hero, fighting crime and saving people, but suddenly a supernatural phenomenon begins to scare the citizens of Central City, Gorillas are fleeing of Zoos and attacking people seemingly for no reason, and Barry discovers that they are all being mentally controlled by a very intelligent Gorilla, called Grodd, and to restore this chaos Barry will have the help of his nephews Wally West, who after trying to recreate the accident that gave Barry his powers, he ended up creating an artificial lightning that destroyed the garage of his house and hit him leaving him in a coma, but when he woke up he got powers just like Barry's.
