Together, the siblings co-wrote the mystery thriller film The Prestige (2006), the superhero films The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and the science fiction film Interstellar (2014). Nolan was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Memento, and for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Westworld, among a number of other awards.

The Eagle's Wisdom is a 2024 American epic action film directed and co-produced by Christopher Nolan from a screenplay by him and his brother Jonathan Nolan. Produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Pictures Releasing, it is the first installment in the Chronicles of the White Eagle film series. The film stars David Arquette, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Leonardo DiCaprio, James Marsden, and Michael Caine. The film suffered a difficult production; it was delayed several times, from 2016 to 2020 until its release was announced. The Eagle's Wisdom was released to largely positive reviews, with critics widely acclaiming the visual effects, the dark and emotional tone, musical score, cinematography, action sequences, direction, and the performances, particularly those of Hathaway, Arquette, and Abdul-Mateen. It also grossed $85 million against a $1.5 million budget and attained a strong cult following. A sequel is in development.
