A team of researchers discover the mythical city lost near the Oasis of Ahm Shere, deep in Egypt. But nothing could have prepared them for what they accidentally awakened, the mythical and powerful Scorpion King. Former great conqueror, he will wake up in a world that has changed a lot in more than five thousand years. However, the mysterious billionaire James Ikol, who lost many supporters after the Martians scandal, will do anything get his hands on this creature in the wild, sending a veritable army of over-armed elite mercenaries on his heels. But the Monster Squad is also on the trail of Mathayus, with the idea of finding a way to control him, so that he helps them in Imhotep's dark plans. However, Lilith, who intends to leave them soon, will give him a choice : to be another new enemy on their list of bad guys to stop, or become a new hero that this world badly needs !
