Description of Kara Zor-El (Supergirl):

Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, is a Kryptonian superhero based in National City. She is the cousin of Superman. Kara is actually older than Kal-El (Superman); she was a teenager when he was a baby. When Krypton was going to blow Kara's parents had no choice but to send her in a rocket headed for Earth. During the journey her rocket was knocked off course and she went into the Phantom Zone (where you don't age) and she arrived on Earth years after her cousin did.
