Synopsis

Dr. Robotnik has traveled to the mystical Angel Island in search of the all-powerful Master Emerald, made from the legendary seven Chaos Emeralds, and he has Knuckles the Echidna tricked into helping him! Sonic and Tails now find themselves outmatched by the mighty Knuckles who could lift the Tornado, and yeet it like as if it was a softball! With Knuckles at his side, Robotnik couldn't be stopped. That is, until Knuckles learns the truth and teams up with Sonic and Tails to take down Robotnik once and for all. If they can't stop him, heaven help us.

Description of Espio the Chameleon:

There has been a purplish blur spying on Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, and his Hooligans. It's a chameleon. At the post credit scene, we see that he's working for a detective agency known as the Chaotix. He says into a communicator to who it might be his boss, "Vector. I have found Fang and the Hooligans. And it seems . . . we're not their only enemies."
