Born in a rich, upper-class Ashkenazi Jewish family in Jerusalem of Algerian origin, Avi inherited superhuman abilities of flexibility and elasticity from her mother, which she usually hide from the public. Growing up, Avi learned to control her powers and teaching herself how to contort, elongate, expand, extend, deform, inflate, deflate, compress, swell, flatten, and dislocate herself as well as manipulate the structure, hardness, shape, roughness, density, rigidness, roughness, texture, bulk, thickness, form, bodily cohesion and density of her body. She even started off constructing herself a makeshift suit of her own, made with bungee chords and springs which would yank her limbs back after they stretch. Unfortunately, her family was killed by mercenaries and she was abducted by an anti-superhuman terrorist group called the Catharsis for experimentation before brainwashing her into an obedient soldier, forced to carry out dubious deeds for her masters. Fortunately, a clash against the Commandos allowed her, and several other slaves, to break free from their mind control and change sides.
