Twelve-year-old Massie Block is the leader of the Pretty Committee, a clique of popular, wealthy students at her upstate New York all-girls private school, Octavian County Day. Danh Bondok is a friend of Kristen, Layne, and the rest of the Witty Committee. He is the only boy in the group and goes by Bill Gates. Danh currently attends Briarwood with the other boys. Massie's nickname for him is "Candy Corn" because of his crooked yellow teeth.
