Set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, two brothers live with their widowed father, their paternal grandmother and family dog. The big brother, Bernard normally takes care of his little brother, Gilbert and sometimes parent him when their father isn't around and their mother recently died. Bernard cares for his brother a lot and doesn't want anything to happen to him.
