A rank amateur and opportunist attracted by the bounty placed on Jonah Hex’s head, the overconfident ‘Bat Lash’ is one of the few people west of the Mississippi who hasn’t a clear notion of precisely how dangerous a man like Hex really is. It wouldn’t dissuade him anyway, since Lash has made a living off of hustling dangerous men and scheming his way through problems most would solve with bullets. He might be unprepared for the savagery brought out by this coming chase, but that is only fair; no one is prepared for a con man of Lash’s audacity.
