Aylmer is a scientist, and science is his number one love. But then he meets Georgiana, and she’s such a beauty that he can’t believe his luck, and immediately makes her his wife. There’s just one problem as far as Aylmer is concerned - Georgiana has a birthmark on her left cheek. It’s in the shape of a tiny hand, but against her pale skin, it stands out red and loud, and the longer he looks at it, Aylmer finds that he can’t bear this blemish.
