The Bible is the epic story of God's relationship with humanity, from the creation of the universe to the promise of a new heaven and a new earth. After creating a world that was good, God made mankind in His image, but human rebellion brought sin, suffering, and death into creation. Rather than abandon His people, God began a plan of redemption by calling Abraham and establishing the nation of Israel, revealing His laws through Moses, guiding His people through judges, kings, prophets, and exile, and repeatedly promising that a coming Messiah would rescue humanity and restore what had been lost. That promise is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, whose perfect life, sacrificial death, and resurrection open the way for forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life for all who trust in Him. After His ascension, His followers spread the gospel throughout the world, establishing the early Church and proclaiming hope to every nation. The Bible concludes with a vision of Christ's ultimate victory over evil, God's final judgement, and the creation of a new heaven and new earth, where God dwells forever with His redeemed people in a restored creation free from sin, pain, and death.
