Synopsis

The Bell Jar details the life of Esther Greenwood, a college student in the 1950s who dreams of becoming a poet. She is selected for a month-long summer internship as a guest editor of Ladies' Day magazine, but her time in New York City is unfulfilling as she struggles with issues of identity and societal norms. (some of these actors are prob too old now, but just made this for fun anyways)

Description of Jay Cee:

Like Dr. Nolan, Jay Cee, Esther's boss at the magazine, is another alternative mother figure for Esther. Unlike Esther's mother, Jay Cee is married and has a satisfying career. While Esther feels dejected when Jay Cee chides her aimlessness, Esther appreciates the fact that Jay Cee is trying to mentor her to a fulfilling professional life after college.
