Fan Casting Lt. James Gordon in The Batman (1990)

James Worthington Gordon is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Silver St. Cloud) of the Batman. He is a lieutenant within the Gotham City Police Department, renowned for being one of the few who was not corrupt early on, as well as being responsible for Jack Napier's incarceration several years earlier, leading him to reluctantly have his family move away from Gotham for their safety after Napier escapes and swears revenge. After a young Bruce Wayne witnessed the death of his parents, he comforted him, assuring him he'd be okay, and as such, he forms a tenuous partnership with Batman to eradicate crime from Gotham.
