Harvey Dent has almost no role in the series. He is the future mayor of Gotham. In his mayoral campaign, Harvey promises to capture and arrest Batman's followers. By the end of the series, having become Mayor, Harvey arrests a group of Batman followers, for which they throw acid on Harvey's face.
