Description of Commisioner James "Jim" Gordon:
Since Batman is old and experienced, the same should go for Gordon. We need someone grizzled, someone who's a working man, isn't scared to get their hands dirty, won't back down someone who is the moral compass of the franchise and wants to help a better place to live in for himself and his family. While Gordon is old and grizzled, his age helps with the experienced side of being in the GCPD for a long time and can translate well to his professionalism and already has a relationship with Batman.
