Dick Grayson started out as the first Robin, he was raised in a circus by his parents who were trapeze performers, he performed with them but one day when he was 13 he had been sitting out because he was sick, and his parents had gone on without the safety net- and the wires snapped. Dick was left an orphan and got a visit from Bruce Wayne and Commissioner Jim Gordon. Bruce took him in as his own, trained him to fight, and made him his sidekick Robin, Dick quickly fell in love with Gordon’s daughter Barbara. When he turns 18 he feels like he has graduated from being Robin and becomes Nightwing.
