King T'Chaka of Wakanda is killed by a man named Klaw. His son T'Challa becomes the Black Panther and the new king of Wakanda. A.I.M. arrives to steal the rare metal that can only be found in Wakanda, Vibranium, having hired Klaw & his goons to steal it. Black Panther reluctantly asks the Avengers for help, having been stalking them for weeks, so he could use them as a distraction to fight A.I.M. while he gets revenge on Klaw and avenge his father's death.
