Fan Casting Sheriff Bob Gore in The Auctioneer

Harlowe’s long-time dependable sheriff. An acquaintance of John and Mim’s, possibly a schoolmate. Bald, amiable, and a chatterbox. Once fit and muscular, he’s gotten chubby and slack. Bob’s always especially kind to Ma. He starts out backing Perly and believing his good intentions, and even grants him the ability to increase the police dept, and choose his own officers. Bob realizes the grave mistake he has made, but is too fearful to do anything about it. He’s a large man in his 60’s.
