Synopsis

Harrowing tensions explode in a series of events that could happen anywhere, to anyone, just as they do to John Moore—whose days of freedom run out, who is stripped of his possessions, his courage, and his hopes, one by one, by the ominous presence of an insidious stranger impossible to resist.

Description of Fanny:

Fanny runs the local general store, and as a result, she hears and keeps many town secrets. While standoffish and quiet, she has a kind smile and always keeps her shop clean and stocked. She tries to stay out of the burgeoning tension of the town. However, with all her private knowledge, she is able to warn the locals (and Mim in particular) of upcoming auctions and attacks. Aged in her late 30’s, heavy-set and wears her long hair pulled back
