Ging truly believes Noctis to be "The Chosen One" and the predestined savior of Ravenskill. His faith in Noctis' gift is so strong that he is willing to risk everything on the road to revolution and in the fight for justice and freedom for the people of Ravenskill. It is for young Gon however whom he is most committed to, and whom he is determined to provide a better life for in the name of his deceased wife Mito. He is tempted by Ravus to betray Noctis in exchange for Gon's liberty and prosperity, forcing him to make the impossible decision between the security of Gon's future and the fate of Noctis' freedom.
