After landing a job at a burger food joint, Peter "The Asshole" Burnstein is just the asshole everyone hates. He messes up customers' orders on purpose, he fights with his mother and his little sister, and he treats his girlfriend like shit. He even drinks a lot, which explains some of the reasons why he's an asshole. One night, he's out with soem friends getting drunk, doing some stupid shit that he loves to do with his friends. Someone calls the police, leaving behind Peter who is still drunk. Being held in county, his family, including his girlfriend are notified and visit him from time to time thinking that he'll become a better person. At first he doubts that, but he slowly starts to realize that he should become a better person. That he needs to become better. Hiring a lawyer for Peter and bailing him out, he's taken to do meetings where he talks about his alcoholic and behaviorial issues. After doing this for an entire year, he finally starts to become a better person and gives up the alcohol and even ditches his friends and soon begins to find new ones. Peter then goes back to his family, apologizes to them for what he has done, even to his girlfriend.
