The Holmwood's housekeeper, and primary caretaker of Lucy when she falls ill, apart from Dr. Van Helsing. She aids Lucy in her recovery, and Van Helsing in administering the antidotes for the partial vampirism, although she doesn't know the true nature of Lucy's illness. She removes the garlic flowers that were placed in Lucy's room to ward off Dracula, unknowingly worsening Lucy's health, although Van Helsing is able to remedy this, and informs her that the flowers must never be removed until he says so.
