Javi is a young man living with his brother, David, sister in law, Kate, and nephews, Gabe and Mariana. Their father dies of cancer, and he eventually reanimates as a living corpse. During a scuffle with their undead father, their mother gets bitten, and she is taken to the hospital by David, who never returns. Four years later, Javi is with Kate, Gabe, and Mariana scavenging the wasteland looking for a new home, food, and whatever else they can find to give them hope in this brave new world.
