A strange ooze mutates four turtles into humanoid creatures. And also turn a retiered ninja into a humanoid rat. The rat becomes their mentor and he names them Leonardo, Donnatello, Raphael and Michaelengello. They grow up learning ninjitsu, and they soon have to go up against Splinters old friend Oroku Sagi, who has now become a ruthless dictator named Shredder, and is leading an army of ninjas named The Foot Clan.
