Dottie “DJ” Jones is a prodigious computer nerd with a clean record. That was, until being wrongfully accused and sent to detention. Willing to do anything to get back at life, she starts to look through her principal’s stuff, until she comes across a genie lamp. Curious as can be, she starts playing with it and comes to the realization the lamp may not be a toy. A genie pops his head out and reveals himself to be Robin the Genie and reluctantly grants the girl three wishes. She wishes for unconditional friendship with the genie. Join Robin as he struggles to help Dottie overcome puberty, middle school, and worst of all, her love life!
