Synopsis

Alec Holland, a brilliant scientist working on a bio-restorative formula in the Louisiana swamps, becomes tragically transformed into Swamp Thing after a sabotage leads to a devastating explosion. Now a guardian of the Green, the elemental force that unites all plant life, Alec struggles with the loss of his humanity and memories of his former self. As Swamp Thing, he confronts sinister forces seeking to exploit the Green, including the malevolent sorcerer Anton Arcane, who craves immortality. Haunted by his inner turmoil and past life, Alec finds solace in Abby Arcane, a woman with a troubled family history who helps him navigate this dark, mystical world. Swamp Thing's journey is one of horror, loss, and sacrifice, as he battles not only external enemies but also the ghosts of his former existence. The climactic showdown with Anton Arcane takes place in the heart of the swamp, where Swamp Thing triumphs but realizes his responsibility as protector will forever demand difficult sacrifices. Post Credits: John Constantine appears, offering an alliance to face a looming supernatural threat, teasing the formation of a darker force within the DCU.
