Fan Casting Swamp Thing in The Swamp Thing (1993)

Swamp Thing, also known in life as Dr. Alec Holland, is the titular main protagonist of The Swamp Thing. A benevolent scientist who, alongside his wife Linda, sought out to create a bio-restorative formula to solve any nation’s food shortage problems. However, after an attack on their lab which kills both him and Linda, his subconscious is absorbed into the entity known as the Swamp Thing, who is now out for revenge against the people who cost both his and his beloved wife’s lives.
