The orbital habitat Aurora Station has housed four hundred residents for forty years and will be shut down at the end of the month. Nova Reyes, 32, the station's beloved resident performer, has a final concert to give: a broadcast to Earth and every outpost in the system. Her friend and station engineer Orion Vale, 35, has been secretly rerouting power to keep the lights on. The station's AI, Lyra, wants to join the concert. Commander Ife Adeyemi, 50, must carry out the closure order. The musical is a glittering, emotional space opera about endings, communities and the things worth carrying out of a home you have to leave.
