Superman: The Man of Steel is an un-cancelled 2009 sequel to the 2006 film Superman Returns. It would have Brandon Routh reprising his role as Clark Kent/Superman. All of the other cast members would return as well. Bryan Singer was going to direct again after directing Superman Returns. An action packed sequel to Superman Returns featuring another Kryptonian and Brainiac as the primary villains. The "New Krypton" landmass floating in space at the end of Superman Returns serves as a plot device.
