Superman knows of his powers but hasn’t taken advantage of them yet and tries to live a normal life as Clark Kent, reporter for the Daily Planet. General Zod is aware that there is a Kryptonian on Earth and comes to Earth to try to recruit them for his army. Zod meets Clark and questions why he hasn’t used his powers to take over the planet and rule with the Kryptonians. He denies Zod’s offer, so Zod tries to take over, fighting against Clark, later known as Superman by the public. He goes back to the farm and finds the pod he crashed to Earth in, along with a suit for him to wear.
