Synopsis

Metropolis is still adjusting to the presence of Superman. Some see him as a hero, while others, including Lex Luthor, view him as a threat to human progress. Clark Kent, balancing his life as a journalist and protector, begins investigating LexCorp’s secret projects. Meanwhile, war veteran John Corben, critically injured in an accident, is offered a second chance by Luthor—his body rebuilt with experimental cybernetics and powered by a Kryptonite core. As Metallo, Corben is unleashed to test Superman’s limits. The Kryptonite weakens him, and Metallo’s unrelenting attacks push him to the brink. With Lois Lane exposing Lex’s involvement, Superman regroups and uses his wits to overload Metallo’s core, shutting him down before he destroys the city. Recovering in the Fortress of Solitude, Clark activates an ancient Kryptonian message warning of a hidden threat on Earth, one that even Kryptonians feared. Post Credits: in the shadows of Metropolis, a mysterious figure watches Superman—his red eyes glowing in the dark.
