Ty Zor is the antagonist of the story, he is Clark's cousin, who from a very young age was trained by his father Kata Zor to be able to fight Clark and kill him in order not to fulfill an ancient Kryptonian prophecy. Joel Edgerton was chosen after not being cast as Superman
