Clark and Lois are engaged to marry. After coming so close to disaster during Brainiac’s attack, they realize they should have done it much sooner. While planning, they are both confronted by a Fifth-Dimensional imp, Mister Mxyzptlk, who challenges the couple to prove how strong their love is, and whether it really does conquer all, and it ends up being Mxyzptlk showing them what their love truly means, after sending Lois to a world where she was the one with powers, and Clark to a world where the two never went on their first date and Lois moved away from Metropolis. read more

Description of General Sam Lane:

In Lois' world, Sam took advantage of the spark he saw in Lois when she was a child, and slowly, but surely, made her a part of his secret operations to safeguard the planet against extraterrestrial threats, turning her into Superwoman. His operations also found, and confiscated, the Fortress of Solitude, and all the Kryptonian technology within it. In Clark's world, Sam is completely estranged to Lois, and hasn't spoken to her in several years. Clark approaches Sam to ask about Lois, and find out what happened, but he regrettably doesn't know much about what happens in her life, and blames himself. He points Clark in the right direction, though, and tells him where to go.
