(First appeared in Defenders #4 in 1973 and was created by Steve Englehart and Sal Buscema). Brunnhilde was a princess who was chosen by Odin to become his Valkyrie, the leader of the Valkyrior, to bring fallen soldiers to Valhalla. Centuries later, she would join the Defenders.
