(First appeared in Invincible #11 in 2004 and was created by Robert Kirkman and Ryan Otley.) Thragg was the strongest warrior in the Viltrumite Empire, gaining the title of Grand Regent. Eventually, a virus called the Scourge Virus wiped out most of the Viltrumite population. Thragg sent the Viltrumite warrior Conquest to conquer Earth, but he failed, as he was stopped by Invincible, so the Grand Regent went to fight the hero himself.
