(First appeared in X-Men #54 in 1969 and was created by Arnold Drake and Don Heck). Alex Summers was the brother of Scott Summers and the son of Christopher Summers, who was separated from his family after a Shi'ar Empire ship attacked his plane. He woke up in a hospital and was later separated from his brother, getting adopted. When Alex grew up, he went to Ahmet Abdol's laboratory in Egypt, where he unlocked his mutant powers. He was later captured by Bolivar Trask's Sentinels and given the name Havok, only to be rescued by the X-Men afterwards.
