Born on the dying planet Krypton, infant Kal-El was sent to Earth moments before its destruction, crash-landing near Smallville, Kansas, where he was found and adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent. Growing up as Clark Kent, he always felt different—stronger, faster, sharper than other kids—but his parents raised him to hide his gifts and use them responsibly.
