Bowser’s role remains unchanged from the actual film by Illumination, and there are more scenes of him swooning over Peach played for laughs, a backstory where he once tried dating Peach in high school and his rejection is what made him ruler of the world, a whole heavy metal epic song of why he's the baddest of the bad, and an added dose of scarier moments when confronting Mario who ruined his wedding to save Peach.
