Synopsis

Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach and Toad all decide to have a well-earned break after their last adventure when Mario is given a letter from his old childhood friend Wario, inviting him to hang out at an old castle on the other side of Grassland. Suspicious, Luigi and his friends decide to after them, but are captured by mysterious new enemies. They wake up captured in the desert empire of Sarasaland, where the lands ruler, Princess Daisy, tells them that her land was taken over by Wario and a mind-controlling alien named Tatanga. Can the friends break out and rescue Mario before the Mushroom Kingdom is taken over?
