During the destruction of the planet Krypton, Jor-El and Lara Lor Van send their child off to planet earth for his safety, all the while the planet is getting attacked by a vicious enemy.
Kal-El lands in a field in Kansas and is picked up by Jonathan and Martha Kent. At age 16, he finds out he was adopted, and that he is not of this earth. Then, five years later, a young Clark Kent, recently moving to metropolis finds himself looking for a job. He rescues an airplane and stops a bank robbery, leading to reporter Lois Lane to write a paper about him, dubbing him “Superman”.
