Description of Susan Strong:
Tom's deceased mother, who is shown to have been a caring mother, who did her best to instill a moral compass into her son. She resents her husband's lack of love for their son. When the massive earthquake kills Sinclair, she and her son rush to find sanctuary with the Ozu, she dies during the quake.
