Fan Casting Batou in Steven Spielberg's Ghost in the Shell

The Major's battle-hardened partner, only partially cybernetic because his natural skeleton cannot support full replacement. He is a large, leathery, "half bull in a china shop" who hides a tender heart beneath gruff sarcasm. Diagnosed with a fatal brain illness caused by faulty Megatech parts, he continues fighting alongside the Major without telling her. He is loyal, funny, dangerous, and ultimately willing to die for her.
