After a tragic accident leaves his pregnant girlfriend Roxanne in a coma, stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze makes a deal with the devilish Ambrose Starke to save her life—only to discover he's been cursed as the Ghost Rider, a demonic Spirit of Vengeance that hunts sinners and forces him to witness every atrocity it commits. For five years, Blaze has chased storms across the Southwest, desperately tracking Starke to break the curse, but his path collides with Nomi, a desperate Lakota mother whose daughter Rain has been kidnapped by her violent ex-husband Billy-Ray Carrigan—on Starke's orders. Now Blaze must embrace the monster within to save the child, confront the Trickster who owns his soul, and finally answer the question that haunts him: if the Ghost Rider turns its Penance Stare on him, will he burn?
