Synopsis

Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller, serves as the secret Sith Apprentice to Darth Vader himself during the reign of The Galactic Empire. As Vader's assassin, Starkiller hunts down Jedi survivors of Order 66 on his Master's command, but when he is betrayed by his Master after Emperor Palpatine found out about his existence, Galen joins the Rebellion and sacrifices himself to save the Rebel leaders onboard the Death Star. Later, a clone of him is created on Kamino and that clone joins the Rebel Alliance in the place of his original self, but is also on a mission to discover who, or what, he really is.

Description of Mara Jade (The Emperor's Hand):

After spending about a week on Ossus, Starkiller, Vader, Kota, Juno, P.R.O.X.Y, and Ahsoka finally see a ship touch down upon the planet's surface, but it does not belong to the Rebellion. It belongs to a legion of Imperial forces led by the Emperor himself, with Palpatine wanting to punish Vader for secretly cloning his dead secret assassin. With all of this in mind, Vader now has one final chance to overthrow Darth Sidious with Starkiller by his side, but Vader will have to use all of his strength if he is to claim the throne of the Sith for himself.
