In between the rise of The Galactic Empire and the outbreak of The Galactic Civil War, Darth Vader was dispatched to Kashyyyk to defeat a Wookie uprising led by a Jedi survivor of Order 66 named Kento Marek, but once he struck down the Jedi Knight and his wife, Mallie Marek, Vader found out they had a son named Galen and takes the boy under his wing, giving him the codename "Starkiller". Over the timeline of 18 BBY - 2 BBY, Vader trains Starkiller to one day overthrow his Master, Darth Sidious, and rule the galaxy the way he sees fit.
