Christian Bale is Jack O’Neill, hands down. I feel like he would play “retired cool guy military man who lost his son” amazingly, and can play tough but worn out really well. I want a middle aged actor who can feel like the perfect other half to Lewis Pullman’s Daniel Jackson. I can just SEE Christian Bale viewing him as an annoying son and rolling his eyes. Also Bale and Charlize Theron would probably have good chemistry.
