Star Trek: The Beginning
May 2009
In 2159, hotshot pilot Tiberius Chase—descended from xenophobic Earth-First outlaws—wins the Academy regatta but is grounded by Starfleet over his family name. When the Romulans launch a surprise attack, destroying Starfleet HQ and besieging Earth with cloaked drone-ships, Chase's best friend Gardner Jr. dies stopping the Romulan flagship. As the Vulcans face genocide and a Romulan armada closes in, Chase hijacks the experimental starship Spartan and races to Romulus with a Vulcan engineer, a stolen atomic bomb, and a crew of misfits—gambling everything on one bold strike to save Earth.
